Privacy Policy

StudyAI is an AI-powered study and homework helper for iPhone and iPad. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and your choices. StudyAI is designed to be private by default: there is no account, no sign-up, and no advertising. By using StudyAI (the “Service”), you agree to the practices described here.

StudyAI is built to collect as little as possible. We do not ask you to create an account and we never collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location.

• Your study content: Photos of homework or textbook pages, typed questions, uploaded files, and voice questions you choose to send. This content is stored on your device and is transmitted to our AI provider only to generate your result (a solution, plan, quiz, or flashcards). We do not build a profile from it.
• Usage & diagnostics (anonymous): Aggregate, low-detail information about which features are used, plus crash and error reports, collected through PostHog to help us fix bugs and improve the app. These events never include the content of your questions, photos, or notes.
• Purchase status (anonymous): If you subscribe, we receive confirmation of your subscription and trial status through Adapty so we can unlock premium features. We never see or store your payment-card details — purchases are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store.

We do not knowingly collect any sensitive personal information. Please do not include sensitive personal data in the content you submit to the app.

• Providing the Service: Your submitted content is used to generate step-by-step answers, study plans, quizzes, and flashcards, and to return them to you.
• Improving the Service: Anonymous usage and crash data help us understand performance, troubleshoot issues, and prioritize features.
• AI features: When you use AI features, the relevant photo, file, voice, or text is sent to our AI processing provider (Google, via Firebase Vertex AI / Gemini) solely to produce your result. By using these features you consent to this processing.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

StudyAI relies on a small number of trusted providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google (Firebase Vertex AI / Gemini): processes the content you submit to generate AI results.
• PostHog: anonymous product analytics and crash reporting.
• Adapty: subscription and trial management.
• Apple App Store: processes all payments and manages your subscription.

Your study materials are stored locally on your device. Auto-saved drafts are removed automatically after about seven days. Because there is no account, deleting the app removes all of your local StudyAI data. You can also revoke camera, photo, or microphone access at any time in your device Settings.

StudyAI is intended for students and general learners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. AI-generated answers are a study aid for learning and may contain errors — they are not a substitute for a teacher and should not be used to violate your school’s academic-integrity rules.

StudyAI is available globally. The content you submit for AI processing may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. We rely on our providers’ appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because StudyAI holds no identifiable account and stores your content on your device, you can exercise deletion at any time by removing the app. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at the address below — we do not sell personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or here. Continued use of StudyAI after an update signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
